The Central West Women's Health Centre is a non-government, community based, feminist service run by women for women.

Our Mission is to be a leader in providing opportunities to women and children, other health providers and the community through holistic health services, information, advocacy and social action.

Our opening hours are;
9.00 am - 5.00 pm Monday, Wednesday & Thursday.
Tuesday 1.30 - 5.00 pm.
Closed for Lunch 12.30 - 1.30pm
Closed Fridays.

Our women's health nurse's services include:
Pap smears, breast checks, contraception
Menstruation & premenstrual syndrome issues
Peri-menopause & menopause advice
Treatment for gynaecological issues
Pregnancy testing & counselling
Testing for sexually transmitted infections & safe sex advice

We also have a counselling service for girls and women who have experienced sexual assault, domestic violence, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, identity concerns or anger and conflict issues.

We have Child Sexual Assault Counselling for children and adolescents, and their non-offending carers, who have been sexually assaulted. This service includes court support and preparation, protective behaviours education, community education, and support groups. Outreach services to outlying areas are also available.

Health education sessions and support groups are offered covering a range of women’s health issues including: Puberty Matters, depression, domestic violence, stress, anxiety, self esteem, menopause, older women’s health, grief and loss.

Yoga Classes are held throughout the year. New Yoga classes begin every eight weeks. Women of all ages and cultures are welcome to join.

Our Women's Walking Group starts from the Central West Women's Health Centre, 20 William Street Bathurst, every Monday and Wednesday morning at 9.30am. All ages and fitness levels are welcome. It is free, just register at the centre to participate.

Our massage therapist clinics can help to alleviate backache, low vitality, fluid retention and stress. Ongoing massage therapy has a cumulative effect, which can improve energy levels, circulation, body posturing, general health, stress management and overall confidence.

We have a Meeting Room which is available for women’s groups to book and use. Please phone the Centre for booking details.
